LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) _ Angela Aycock scored 25 points, and No. 14 Kansas forced 24 turnovers while beating Kansas State 73-62 Sunday in the Big Eight.

Kansas (13-2, 3-0) used a 12-4 run to take an 18-10 lead with 13:57 left in the first half.

Both teams cooled off thereafter. Kansas State (10-5, 2-1) went 7:36 without a field goal in the first half, but Kansas led just 34-27 at intermission.

The Wildcats clamped down on Aycock in the second half, holding her to 2- of-7 shooting. But Keshana Ledet picked up the Jayhawks with nine of her career-best 15 points after halftime.

Kansas put together a 10-0 run, with five points each from Aycock and Ledet, to lead 48-32 with 13 minutes left. The Jayhawks made seven of eight free throws in the final minutes to clinch the victory.

Angie Halbleib added 11 points for Kansas. Shanele Stires paced Kansas State with 21 points, and Brit Jacobsen added 14.
