Bulldogs Fend Off Bay Path

The Monty Tech softball team managed to hold off Bay Path on the road Wednesday, winning 14-10.

Bailey Tammaro allowed just 3 runs in the victory and struck out 3, but had a stellar day at the plate. The freshman was 3-for-4 with a double, a triple and a home run, driving in 4 runs and scoring 3 times for the Bulldogs (8-3, 5-2 CAL).

Cassie Skinner drove in a pair in the win and Taylor Jollimore had an RBI and scored a run. Izzy Stakley was 1-for-4 and stole a pair of bases to go with an RBI and 3 runs scored.


LUNENBURG 11, Clinton 3 — Alan Hyatt went the distance for the Blue Knights (4-7), scattering 6 hits and striking out a half dozen. Cooper Mathews had 3 hits in the win and Brayden Gendron and Nick Ouellette each had 2 hits.


ST. BERNARD’S 4, Ayer Shirley 3 — Jon Pinard allowed just 4 hits and struck out 7 to earn a complete-game victory for the Bernardians (7-7). Max Bigelow had a single, a double, a pair of stolen bases and scored a run and Andrew Gardiner drove in a pair.


SHEPHERD HILL 5, Leominster 1 — Tamara Landry was 1-for-3 with an RBI for Leominster and Grace Adams scored the lone run for the Blue Devils.

Girls’ lacrosse

BLACKSTONE VALLEY 8, Monty Tech 2 — Claire Peterson and Katie Moran scored for Monty Tech. Olivia Wojcukiewicz made seven saves for the Bulldogs.

Boys’ tennis

NORTH MIDDLESEX 5, Leominster 0 — Caleb Amidon, Evan Gaibor and Jake Richard all notched singles wins for North Middlesex (5-3). The first doubles team of Jackson Anselmi and Tom Kelly and the second doubles grouping of Matt Burns and Dan Goad also won. Leominster falls to 2-6.

MARLBORO 5, Nashoba 0 — The Chieftains drop to 2-10 on the season.

Girls’ tennis

NASHOBA 5, Marlboro 0 — Emma Hakala, Kaylin Castles and Eugenia Kovtun cruised to wins for the Chieftains (4-6).

The first doubles tandem of Alexa Konstantinidis and Jessie Konstantinidis and the second doubles team of Katie Kane and Haley May swept their matches without dropping a game.

FITCHBURG 3, Hudson 2 — Olivia Catalini and Gabrielle White earned singles wins for the Red Raiders (9-1), while the doubles tandem of Rohanji Novas and Sophia Armano was also victorious.
