Maximus: Fiscal 1Q Earnings Snapshot
RESTON, Va. (AP) _ Maximus Inc. (MMS) on Thursday reported fiscal first-quarter earnings of $64.1 million.
On a per-share basis, the Reston, Virginia-based company said it had profit of $1.03.
The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 94 cents per share.
The government health services provider posted revenue of $945.6 million in the period, also surpassing Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $868 million.
Maximus shares have climbed almost 4% since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen 4% in the last 12 months.
