Vermont mobile home park expected to be sold to residents
SHELBURNE, Vt. (AP) — The owner of a 64-unit Vermont mobile home park says he wants to sell the Shelburne property to a resident-owned cooperative.
Lakeview Mobile Home Park owner Trey Pecor says he doesn’t want to be in the mobile home park business.
The Burlington Free Press reports Pecor notified park residents recently of his intention to sell the property for $2.4 million.
Pecor says people who own their mobile homes and lease the space on which they sit have 45 days to notify him if they intend to buy the property, and another 120 days to “negotiate in good faith.
Resident Chris Pratt says the 100-or so residents have just begun looking into the details of buying the park and they’re worried they could end up homeless.
