CLEVELAND, Ohio — U.S. Marshals on Thursday arrested a Cleveland man who escaped police custody by climbing out of a bathroom window at MetroHealth.

Antwoine Thomas, 28, was arrested about 4:15 p.m. in a building on Superior Avenue near Euclid Avenue in East Cleveland, U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott said.

Thomas will likely make his first court appearance Friday, which is his 29th birthday.

Thomas was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property. He was taken to MetroHealth for an unknown health reason before he escaped Sunday afternoon, police said.
