Chamber Hosts Networking Event

WILMINGTON -- The Wilmington/Tewksbury Chamber of Commerce is hosting a networking event, “Coffee with the Chamber,” on Thursday, Jan. 10. The event will take place at the Chamber Office, located at 226 Lowell St. in Wilmington, from 8:30 to 10 a.m.

Littleton officials to fill vacancy

LITTLETON -- Elected officials will meet next month to fill a vacancy on the town’s Planning Board.

The Planning Board needs another member, and its remaining members will meet in a joint session with the Board of Selectmen on Jan. 28 at 7 p.m. to make a decision. Whoever is selected to the board will serve through the May 2019 town election.

Residents interested in joining the board can apply using a form available on the town’s website or in the Board of Selectmen’s office. Forms must be submitted by Jan. 23, 2019 for consideration.


Town offers help finding pets

TEWKSBURY -- A new Facebook page has been created for residents who have lost their pets. The “Tewksbury, MA -- Lost & Found Pets” was created so more lost pets can find their way back home to their owners. Outdoor skating in Tewksbury

TEWKSBURY -- An ice skating rink is set to open soon on Livingston Street in town, Town Manager Richard Montuori announced at a recent Board of Selectmen’s meeting.

Once opened, the rink will be unsupervised and available for skating on a daily basis from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. The rink is intended for casual skating only and hockey playing will be prohibited.

Some of the rules include beginners staying to the right, skaters under 12 years old should be accompanied by an adult and no tobacco products, alcohol or drugs will be permitted at the site.


Selectmen to fill Parks & Rec. job

LITTLETON -- The Board of Selectmen will meet next month to fill a vacancy on the town’s Park and Recreation Commission.

The board will be joined by other members of the commission for a meeting on Monday, Jan. 14 at 7 p.m. in the town’s offices. Members will interview applicants who wish to fill an open spot on the commission.

Whoever is selected will serve through the May 2019 Annual Town Election. Interested residents should fill out a form from the town’s website and return it by 12 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 9.
