COLORADO WEATHER _ Heavier than expected snow made it difficult to get around the Denver on Monday. While just an inch or two of snow had been expected around Denver, heavy bands of snow brought several inches to many areas, most of it during the morning commute.

COLORADO LAND PROTECTION _ U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet and U.S. Rep. Joe Neguse are planning to introduce a measure that looks to protect about 625 square miles (1,620 square kilometers) of Colorado land.

THEATER CASTMATE-RUNAWAY_ Authorities say a 47-year-old has been arrested at a Colorado hotel where he was found with a former 14-year-old castmate from a Kansas community theater production of “Elf: The Musical.”
