Monday

n Cassy’s Caring Paws, 326 N. Main St., will be hosting its Howl-O-Ween Grand Opening on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. There will be a dog photo booth for charity, a costume contest, cake and prizes. Call or text Cassy at 208-313-4995 for more details.

n Family Services Alliance, 355 S. Arthur Ave., will be hosting Free Pumpkin Decorating & Family Fun on Monday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Be sure to wear purple in support for survivors of domestic violence.

n Come to the Magnuson Alumni House, 554 S. Seventh Ave. in Pocatello, on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. to carve pumpkins, drink hot chocolate, and enjoy some Halloween candy. Pumpkins and tools will be provided. The event is free for everyone.

n The Marsh Valley Players Troupe will put on a production of “The Addams Family” musical on Monday at Marsh Valley High School, 12655 S. Old Highway 91 in Arimo. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the show starts at 7 p.m.

Monday & Tuesday

n The Palace Playhouse, 158 E. Chubbuck Road, is putting on a production of “Sister Act” on Monday and Tuesday. Doors open at 6 p.m., dinner is served at 6:15 p.m., and the show begins at 7 p.m. each night. Customers may order tickets at www.palaceplayhouse.com or call the box office at 208-238-8001.

Tuesday

n Gold’s Gym Youth Programming is hosting its first Trick or Treat event for kids ages 1 to 12 at the gym, 1800 Flandro Drive in Pocatello. Join them Tuesday from 5 to 6 p.m. for face painting, games, obstacle courses, costume fashion show and more.

n Nobuntu, a female a cappella quintet from Zimbabwe, Africa, will perform a mix of music ranging from Zimbabwean songs to gospel music at a concert on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the Kirkham Auditorium at Brigham Young University-Idaho. Tickets are $6 for BYU-Idaho students and $12 for the general public.

Wednesday

n Bring your children to Old Town Pocatello for a safe Halloween afternoon with Trick-or-Treat the Old Town Streets as merchants and businesses open their doors and hand out candy and treats to all visiting ghosts and goblins. The event runs from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday

n Join the businesses in the Maple Street Plaza, 345 Yellowstone Ave. in Pocatello, for Trunk or Treat at Maple Street on Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m.

n Come join us for the third annual Faith Lutheran Trunk or Treat on Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at 856 W Eldredge Road in Pocatello.

n Come hang out at One Up VR on Wednesday and play some scary virtual reality games with us. Enjoy snacks and drinks, a lounge area with a giant bean bag and scary movies. There will also be a costume contest for the best dressed. Admission is $20 in advance or $25 at the door. The party goes from 5 to 11 p.m. at 928 N. Main St., Suite 3, in Pocatello.

n Come celebrate Halloween at the Pocatello Co-op, 308 E. Center St., from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. There will be open mic scary story telling from 6 to 7 p.m., followed by music from DJ “L.” First- and second-place prizes will be awarded for the best costumes. Voting begins at 8:30 p.m. Suggested donation is $5 per person

n Trunk or Treat with the Chubbuck police and fire departments will be Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Pine Ridge Mall in Chubbuck.

Aaron Woodall and Jessa Reed — aka Mormon And The Meth-Head — will be performing their stand-up at 9 p.m. Nov. 1 at Club Charleys, 331 E. Center St. in Pocatello.

Friday

n First Friday Art Walk will take place in Old Town Pocatello from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday.

n The Idaho State-Civic Symphony’s Youth Artist Competition is set for Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the Stephens Performing Arts Center, featuring the competition winners and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7. Tickets start at $13 for balcony seating and can be purchased by calling the ISU box office at 208-282-3595.

n Almost Famous will perform at the First National Bar, 232 W. Center St. in Pocatello, on Friday from 10 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.

Friday, Saturday & Nov. 9, 10

n ISU’s Department of Theatre and Dance will present “Lilly’s Purple Plastic Purse” on Friday, Saturday and Nov. 9 and 10 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 10 at 2 p.m. in the Stephens Performing Arts Center’s Bistline Theatre. Tickets are $15 for general admission, $14 for seniors, faculty and staff, $10 for children and $7 for ISU students with a Bengal ID and can be purchased at isu.edu/tickets or by calling the ISU box office at 208-282-3595.

Saturday

n Warren Miller’s “Face of Winter” ski move will be shown Saturday at the Bengal Theatre on the ISU campus as well.
