Elvis Costello & The Imposters perform at Toyota Oakdale Theatre
Elvis Costello & The Imposters are coming to the Toyota Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford on Saturday, Nov. 5, along with Larkin Poe, the roots rock duo often touted as “the little sisters of the Allman Brothers.”
Costello & The Imposters are performing a dozen East Coast and Midwest shows this fall on their Imperial Bedroom & Other Chambers tour. The concerts follow a recently completed run of shows in the United Kingdom.
Performing for more than three decades, the singer-songwriter is best known for his work with the Attractions and the Imposters.
The band features Davey Faragher on bass, along with original Attractions members, Pete Thomas on drums and Steve Nieve on keyboards.
Last month, Costello, 62, performed a few solo gigs, the last of which was in Atlanta. Writing about that show for AJC.com, Melissa Ruggieri said he displayed “warmth and gratitude every time he moved around the stage and bowed or smiled at the crowd.”
