Men injured in head-on collision

A Ludington man suffered a serious injury this morning after the Mazda 626 he was driving crossed the centerline on Lincoln Road and hit a Ford pick-up truck head-on.

The 25-year-old, driving the Mazda 626, sustained a serious leg injury. The truck driver, a 53-year-old Ludington man, suffered a minor leg injury, according to Mason County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Adam Lamb.

The accident occurred near the intersection of Sugar Grove and Lincoln roads.

Hamlin Township, Pere Marquette and Ludington firefighters, the Ludington Jaws of Life team, Life EMS and the Mason County Sheriff’s Office all responded to the scene. The initial call from Mason-Oceana 911 was at 6:40 a.m.
