From The Santa Fe New Mexican:

June 16, 1968: Democratic precinct elections were conducted in Santa Fe County Saturday night, but final results will not be known until at least noon Monday. At the precinct meetings, delegates were selected to the county convention next Saturday at Harrington Junior High School. That convention in turn will pick delegates to the state Democratic convention at 10 a.m. June 29 in Sweeney Gymnasium.

June 16, 1993: The Santa Fe Board of Education voted 4-1 Tuesday to distribute condoms and spermicidal foams and gels to students on high school campuses — a step that grew both applause and angry walkouts from onlookers. At a meeting attended by nearly 100 people, a board majority also decided to make confidential testing for sexually transmitted diseases available to high school students. Trustee Jimmie Martinez cast the sole vote against, saying the move might promote promiscuity.
