MU track wraps up season

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Marshall University women’s track and field ended its season Friday at the NCAA East Preliminary meet at the University of North Florida.

Marshall junior Safiyyah Mitchell from Huntington ran in the 100-meter hurdles Friday, finishing 44th with a time of 14.20 seconds.

Christianna Dogan, a junior from Tallahassee, Florida, placed 30th in the 400-meter hurdles Thursday with the second-best time in Marshall history of 59.94 seconds.

The Thundering Herd’s final competitor was freshman Ashonti Warner of Hallandale, Florida, who finished 32nd in the 400-meter hurdle event Thursday with a time of 1:00.28.
