Cedartown native gets promotion in Army

Lt, Col. Johnathan Frasier was born In Cedartown, Georgia. He received a Regular Army Commission from the United States Military Academy (USMA) at West Point Class of 1995, and was assigned to the Aviation Branch upon graduation.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree In Mechanical Engineering from the USMA and a Master of Science Degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

His military education Includes the Aviation Officer Basic Course, the Aviation Officer Advanced Course, Combined Arms and Services Staff School, and the Intermediate Level Education and Qualification Course. Frasier is Level 3 Certified Acquisition Professional In both Test and Evaluation, and Program Management He IS a graduate of both the United States Army Rotary and Fixed Wing Aircraft Qualification Courses, the OHS8D Instructor Pilot and the United States Naval Test Pilot School.


LTC (P) Frasier has served in various command and staff positions during his 22 years of military service. His assignments Include: Scout Platoon Leader, 1·7 cavalry Regiment, First Cavalry Division, Ft Hood, TX; Division Support Command Personnel Officer (FWD), Assistant Brigade Operations Officer, and Battle captain, Aviation Brigade, First cavalry Division, Bosnia-Henegovina; Commander, Charlie Company, 1· 14th Aviation Regiment, Ft Rucker, Ala., transitioning to the Army Acquisition Corps In 2003, LTC (P) Frasier served as an Experimental Test PilOt and Chief of Systems Integration and Simulation Division, while assigned to Aviation Technical

Test Center and Aviation Flight Test Directorate at Ft. Rucker and Redstone Arsenal, AL. In 2011, LTC (P) Frasier joined Program Executive Office Aviation and served as the Assistant Product Manager for Air Traffic Control Systems. LTC (P) Frasier was then selected to help stand up the Fixed Wing Program OffICe where he served as the Product Director of Fixed Wing Transport Aircraft LTC (P) Frasier currently serves as the Product Manager for all Army Air Traffic Control Systems.

His awards and badges Include: Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, NATO Medal, Master Army Aviator Wings, Air Assault Badge, and the Order of Saint Michael (Bronze Award).

Within the community, LTC (P) Frasier serves at Lindsey Lane Baptist Church, Athens, AL In the Deacon Ministry, Sunday School Teacher, AWANA, coaches Lindsay Lane Christian Academy Baseball, and Missions Ministry. For the past 18 years, he has been happily married to the former Amy Cochran, from Calhoun, Georgia who serves as the Principal at Lindsay lane Christian Academy’s Main campus.

They have two beautiful children who love the Lord: Benjamin Blake, age 12 years, and Hannah Jean, age 10.
