Maren Morris has released her new single, Rich. It is already a fan favorite from her Hero album. So what’s the inspiration for it? “I wrote this song basically as a kiss off to any guy that tries to pull a fast one on you and it’s happened so many times that if you had a dollar for every time it happened you’d be rolling in it. So I hope you enjoy.”
It has only been one year since Brett Young emerged on the Country music scene with the release of his debut self-titled album, but he has been quickly setting himself apart from the pack as he continues to garner unprecedented accolades for a debut artist. One of only three acts within the genre to earn GOLD-certification for an album released last year. Friday night at Nashville Underground, Young celebrated his latest chart-topping hit “Like I Loved You,” which he wrote alongside Jesse Lee.
People tell Carly Pearce that she comes off as classy, but the truth is, she’s “redneck-y.” Quote, “I’m from Kentucky, so there’s definitely a redneck side to me. Grew up with family members that are interesting, and loving country music. [And] I grew up on bluegrass. It’s in my roots. It’s in that Pearce name.”
