Cabell Midland’s Collegium hosts 25th annual Madrigal Dinner
ONA — For 25 years, Cabell Midland High School’s Collegium Musicum has delighted a dedicated following with its two-night annual Christmas Madrigal Dinner, which was hosted Friday night at the school in Ona.
The event began during the opening year of CMHS and is a tradition in the school, the community, alumni and family.
Collegium Musicum will host its second showing 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at the school for $15 per person.
Tickets include a full dinner of baked ham, green beans, potato and a roll. Wassail, a mulled cider, is also available.
This year’s story, “The Royal Games,” involves a pirate, a lost son, an outlander or two, and other surprises along the way. King Thurston decides that, along with celebrating the season, to be “charitable” and host games of conquest with an interesting reward for the victor.
Senior student Taylor Haley has again designed cover art for the program and shirts. Members of the class met all summer working on the script.
