Worker killed in industrial accident north of Fort Collins
FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) — Authorities say a man died after he was impaled by a beam at a steel manufacturing plant north of Fort Collins.
The Coloradoan reports (http://goo.gl/xH2wYp ) 48-year-old William Williams was hit in the back by a 16-inch beam at Front Range Steel in Wellington on Tuesday. He died at a hospital.
Front Range Steel has more than 30 employees and specializes in steel fabrication for projects ranging from stairs and railings to multi-level steel buildings. Owners Robert and Adam Stribling released a statement saying Williams worked for the company for more than 10 years and will be missed.
No other details about the accident have been released.
