Longmont Police Notes: Arrest of a ‘worried’ Man

Longmont police were dispatched about 9:30 p.m. Thursday to the 1600 block of Main Street on a report of a man sitting in front of a business “worried.” Upon arrival, officers arrested the man on an active warrant from Kansas. He was taken to the Boulder County Jail for the warrant, on no bond.

A Longmont resident reported criminal mischief Thursday in the 1200 block of Francis Street. The case is closed due to the lack of suspect information.

Longmont officers responded Thursday to a suspicious vehicle located at intersection of Widgeon Drive and Teal Circle. A 38-year-old man was contacted and later arrested for outstanding warrants.

Longmont police received a report Thursday of a female shoplifter in custody at a store in the 500 block of S. Hover Street. It was later learned that there was a 2-year-old child left in the woman’s vehicle as she was in the store. Upon investigation, it was determined that the case would be referred to the Longmont Community Justice Partnership.

Longmont officers responded Friday to a theft in the 2200 block of Main Street. There are no suspects at this time, and the case has been closed.
