Casey Carle: Comic bubble artist ‘pops’ up at Stamford Palace
Comic bubble artist Casey Carle is popping up at Stamford’s Palace Theatre with his “BubbleMania” show Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 16-17.
Carle is considered one of the greatest “bubbleologists” on the professional circuit today. During his one-man shows, he creates a plethora of dazzling bubbles in various shapes and sizes, even “trapping an audience member inside a gigantic soap bubble.” Humor and audience interaction are part of his charm.
Carle told Hearst Connecticut Media in 2017 that he has a few “trade secrets” that he never discusses: the recipe for his bubble solution among them. It initially took him about two years to develop bubbles with varying consistency for different types of tricks, he said.
When asked how he describe what he does for a living, Carle replied, “I’m a manipulator of spherical beauties for human entertainment.” He said “every show is different,” and alters each performance to suit the interests of his audiences. “It’s fresh, again and again. I never tire of it.”
