Harley Martin Schrank, 81, of Portage, died Monday, Jan. 29, 2018, at Tivoli in Portage.

Harley was born Dec. 9, 1936, to Martin and Ella (Lisch) Schrank.

He married Mary Joyce on Oct. 15, 1955; she preceded him in death on Jan. 2, 2018.

Harley was a union carpenter just out of high school. He later became an over-the-road semi driver; this he did for over 35 years. He enjoyed family and loved it when Mary could ride with him while trucking. Harley enjoyed country western music and golfing in his younger years.

Harley is survived by his sons, Thomas, Timothy (Margaret) of Portage, Donald (Ronette) of Portage, Shane (Tiqua) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; one brother, Joseph Schrank of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Kral-Schrank; 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Harley was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary; sons, Bobbie and Michael; a daughter, Jane Mary Schrank; grandson, Harley Robert Schrank; granddaughter, Kristen Mary; great-granddaughter, Zoey Kristen; and sister, Loretta Windfield.

A prayer service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, at Kratz Funeral Home, 302 E. Conant St., Portage. The Rev. Gary Krahenbuhl will be officiating.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home (www.kratzfuneralhome.com).
