MnDOT hosting open house Thursday for Lake City project
LAKE CITY — The Minnesota Department of Transportation will hold an open house at 5 p.m. Thursday at City Hall in Lake City to learn more about the proposed U.S. Highway 61 reconstruction project scheduled for 2020 through downtown Lake City.
The project will turn U.S. 61 into a three-lane road, with the middle lane becoming a left-hand turn lane. Sidewalk and other improvements along the road are planned with the project being led by the City of Lake City, according to a MnDOT.
Lake City staff, MnDOT representatives, and the city’s consultant design team will be available to answer questions and gather input. People may drop by any time between 5 and 6:30 p.m. No formal presentation is planned.
