Gonzaga-Pacific key matchup: Tigers’ Miles Reynolds has been on hot streak

February 7, 2018 GMT

Junior guard Miles Reynolds has been Pacific’s hottest player. The 6-foot-2, 170-pounder from Chicago averages 13 points per game, but he’s bumped his average to a team-best 14.3 in WCC games.

Reynolds managed just seven points and four assists in Gonzaga’s 81-48 win in late December, but he wasn’t alone. The Tigers didn’t have a player reach double figures.

Reynolds is a versatile scorer but does his best work off the dribble. The Saint Louis transfer has attempted 158 free throws, 66 more than his closest teammate. He’s hitting nearly 39 percent of his limited 3-point attempts and he’s at 79.7 percent from the free-throw line.

Gonzaga’s Silas Melson and Josh Perkins are probable defensive options against Reynolds and Roberto Gallinat, another high-scoring guard at 13 points per game.
