Police reopen investigation into man missing 30 years
NORWICH, Conn. (AP) — Police have renewed their efforts to find out what happened to a Connecticut man who disappeared 30 years ago.
State and Norwich police announced Wednesday they are seeking the public’s help for new information in the disappearance of 24-year-old Kenneth Reed, last seen in March 1989.
Records show Reed had left his job and drove to his mother’s house in Norwich the day he disappeared.
His car was found blocking the driveway with a full cup of coffee inside.
Cindy Paquette, who managed the restaurant where Reed worked, told the Norwich Bulletin she saw him “grow from a young kid into a very responsible adult.”
She says he wasn’t into drugs and “wasn’t a playboy.”
Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact state police.
