We need people to make the unpopular decisions

January 24, 2019 GMT

I am troubled by some of the vindictive letters to the editor regarding our County Commissioners Chris Boice and Tim Freeman.

I can understand residents disagreeing with some of the decisions or actions they have made or taken, but I sincerely don’t agree with questioning their integrity. Our county is facing very real budgetary issues and possible insolvency. Our commissioners are therefore forced into making hard decisions.

We need more men like them, who are willing to sometimes make unpopular decisions for the overall good of our county. So please, lighten up and recognize they are good and honest men doing the best they can dealing with very difficult issues.
