Mark Carl “Cowboy” Rosengarten, 67, of Beaverville, passed away Wednesday (Jan. 9, 2019) at his home.
He was born July 1, 1951 in Lima, Ohio, the son of Raymond and Margaret (Huelskamp) Rosengarten. Mark married Donna Silcox at the Kankakee County Courthouse on March 24, 2000.
Mark worked for the Laborers Local 751 at various businesses, including Triangle Construction, Azzarelli Construction Company and Iroquois Paving Corporation. He previously had worked with Indiana Laborers as well. Mark loved to ride horses. He liked country Western music and loved to dance. He was of the Catholic faith.
Mark was a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served as a military policeman in both Vietnam and Korea for most of his tour.
Surviving is his wife, Donna Rosengarten, of Beaverville; two sons, Clay Rosengarten and Brett Etchison; one daughter, Nicole Etchison; his mother, Margaret Rosengarten; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Kathy Miller and Karen and Peter Lauer; two brothers and two sisters-in-law, Joseph and Terri Rosengarten and Thomas and Georgeanne Rosengarten; and a special little man, Adan Soto, who called him “Grandpa Rosie.”
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Rosengarten.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Clancy-Gernon-Houk Funeral Home in St. Anne. Private graveside services will be at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the Crippled Children’s Foundation.
