Tyngsboro Man Named a Suspect in Maine Shooting Turns Himself In
ALFRED, ME — A Tyngsboro man wanted on felony charges related to a shooting in York, Maine turned himself in to York Superior Court on Tuesday, according to police.
Police issued burglary and aggravated assault warrants for the arrest of 27-year-old Nathaniel Rivera of 60 Mascuppic Trail, Tyngsboro following a report of an armed robbery and shooting at a York home Saturday morning. Previous reports identified Rivera as a Lowell resident.
Rivera turned himself in with an attorney present, according to the York Police Department. He is being held in York County Jail until his bail hearing Wednesday in Springvale District Court.
Over the weekend, the department named Rivera one of the suspects in an early Saturday morning incident. The victim told police he was shot multiple times after two men allegedly attempted to rob him inside his residence. The man suffered non-life-threatening gun shot wounds to his lower leg and foot, police said.
The victim told police two women were also on scene at the time of the shooting. According to the release, the suspects stole the injured man’s truck, which has since been recovered by police.
On Sunday, police believed Rivera was heading to Lowell in a Dodge Charger. The next day, a gray Dodge Charger registered Rivera was located in Lowell, according to York Police. It was towed to the Lowell Police Department and police executed a search warrant uncovering evidence related to the shooting in York, the press release said.
Police are still seeking information on the other suspects involved in the case.

The Lowell Police Department, Tyngsboro Police Department and Mass State Police Fugitive Unit assisted the York Police in the ongoing investigation.
