Imagine Dragons continues ‘Origins’ release momentum with new ‘Bad Liar’ music video

February 6, 2019

Less than 18 months after Las Vegas and Provo-rooted Imagine Dragons released their platinum selling album “Evolve,” they announced the impending release of their fourth studio album, “Origins,” which debuted Nov. 9.

“It’s about seeking new ground but also appreciating your root,” said Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds in a statement regarding “Origins,” which was originally conceived as a sister album to “Evolve.” “When we create, we create with no boundaries, no rules. We find it thrilling to make music that feels different and new to us.”

Continuing with the momentum from the album, the band released a new video Jan. 24 for their latest single from “Origins” – “Bad Liar.”

The video has an eerie feel to it, featuring the impressive dancing of Autumn Miller who, throughout the video, dances around a man with his head slouched down, floating above the floor.

Filming was directed by Ryan Reichenfeld and was set at a Las Vegas high school, cutting between scenes of Miller’s dancing and the band performing outside the school.
