Skagit Publishing launches online ticket portal

August 9, 2018 GMT

MOUNT VERNON — Tickets to some events listed in Skagit Publishing’s 360 entertainment section can now be bought on the company’s new online ticket portal, My360tix.com.

“People have been reading about the great things they can do,” said Heather Hernandez, president and publisher of Skagit Publishing. “Now they have the option to look in the same place to buy tickets.”

Using My360tix.com costs nothing for event organizers aside from standard credit card processing fees, she said.

My360tix.com is operated in Mount Vernon, so users will have easy access to tech support, Hernandez said. The platform launched in mid-May.

Steve Gomez, the tasting room manager at Eagle Haven Winery, said the winery started listing events on My360tix.com because of the platform’s local ownership.

“There is kind of a partnership of events we have here with (my360tix.com) and listing them in the paper,” he said.

The winery previously used Eventbrite to sell tickets, Gomez said, but started using My360tix.com in order to build a larger local customer base.

The platform is intuitive and easy to use, he said.

Kara Garman, owner of paint party business Kreate with Kara, also lists her painting events on My360tix.com.

Garman said the platform allows her to copy repeating events without having to start from scratch each time.
