$10,000 reward offered in Independence weapon robbery
INDEPENDENCE, Mo. (AP) — Federal authorities and a gun trade association are each offering $5,000 rewards to find the people who stole guns from an Independence store.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said several firearms were stolen during a break-in early Thursday at The Armory KC.
The agency says several people might be involved in the robbery.
Independence police officers arrested a juvenile who tried to flee the scene.
The ATF said its $5,000 reward for information would be matched by another $5,000 from the National Shooting Sports Foundation.
