Cardinals come back to beat Bluejays 9-8
JOHNSON CREEK — Marshall rallied from an 8-0 deficit after three innings to beat Johnson Creek 9-8 in a nonconference baseball game on Friday at Firemen’s Park.
Bow Hartwig started for the Bluejays and allowed one earned runs on two hits with nine strikeouts and no walks over four innings. Braden Walling took the loss in relief, allowing seven earned runs on three hits in one inning.
Anthony Purpi led Johnson Creek at the plate with three hits. Purpi and Bow Hartwig each had two RBIs.
Johnson Creek (10-2) hosts Cambridge on Monday.
