Norfolk woman arrested on a couple of charges and protection order violation
NORFOLK - A Norfolk woman was arrested Tuesday morning for violation of a protection order and a couple of other charges.
According to Norfolk Police Captain Mike Bauer, officers were called to the 200 block of East Phillip Avenue for a protection order violation.
The report was that an adult woman had a protection order against 42-year-old Wendy Lockert and that both individuals were currently inside a car together.
As officers were arriving, they saw the car leaving the area and followed it to HyVee where officers talked to Lockert and the protected party.
Both were questioned about the situation and the protection order was reviewed.
According to the harassment protection order, Lockert was not to contact the protected party in any manner.
Lockert also had an expired ignition interlock permit for the state of Nebraska as her driving privileges were in a revoked status.
Lockert was placed under arrest for the harassment protection order violation and for driving during revocation.
During a search of Lockert’s vehicle, a glass bong with hoses coming from it was found in the trunk.
One of the hoses had a white powdery substance inside it, which tested positive for methamphetamine.
Lockert was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance.
She was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.
