Howard Hughes: 4Q Earnings Snapshot
DALLAS (AP) _ The Howard Hughes Corp. (HHC) on Thursday reported a fourth-quarter loss of $1.1 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Dallas-based company said it had a loss of 3 cents.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 80 cents per share.
The land developer posted revenue of $284.2 million in the period.
For the year, the company reported profit of $74 million, or $1.71 per share. Revenue was reported as $1.3 billion.
Howard Hughes shares have fallen 11% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $112.97, decreasing slightly in the last 12 months.
