Beaver Dam Police Beat: May 9, 2018
Accident — Police responded to an accident between two vehicles in the intersection of Front Street and Spring Street at 11:01 a.m. on Wednesday. Both vehicles were towed.
Accident — Police responded to an accident between two cars in the intersection of Stone Street and South University Avenue at 4:51 p.m. on Wednesday. Both vehicles were towed. One driver received a citation for failing to stop at a stop sign.
Theft — A man reported the theft of medications from another man’s vehicle overnight in the 200 block of Cherokee Road at 5:31 p.m. on Wednesday, but no one wished to file charges. One of the men later reported more medications missing at 3:29 p.m.
Domestic issue — A man reported a possible physical domestic issue between and man and a woman at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Officers responded and the man and woman were counseled and separated for the evening.
Traffic issue — A driver refused to pull over for police Wednesday night and police lost sight of it in the intersection of South Spring Street and East Mill Street. The vehicle was later found unoccupied and towed in the 300 block of Washington Street.
Underage alcohol use — A woman called police about multiple people in a house in the 100 block of Roedl Court at 12:30 a.m. on Thursday. Police made contact with multiple people there. Others were on the scene but fled. One woman and one man received a citation for underage alcohol usage.
Fight — Police responded to a fight between two men in the street in the 100 block of Roedl Court at 2:50 a.m. on Thursday. EMS responded to check out injuries. The men refused transportation and no one pressed charges.
