FIELD HOCKEY: Wyoming Seminary Stars Earn Spots On National Teams

January 29, 2019 GMT

Three Wyoming Seminary field hockey standouts will represent the United States this season.

Kelsey Reznick, a senior from Drums, was selected to the U.S. U-19 women’s national field hockey team, while two juniors from Forty Fort — Hannah Maxwell and Alex Wesneski — were selected to the U-17 team.

USA Field Hockey made the announcement Monday following last week’s three-day selection camp at Spooky Nook Sports in Lancaster County.

According to a news release, national team members will practice three times over the next few weeks leading up to playing in Germany in April.

Reznick, Maxwell and Wesneski have been among the top field hockey players in the Wyoming Valley Conference for several seasons, including Sem’s state championship 2018 season.

Additionally, the National Field Hockey Coaches Association listed Reznick as a first-team selection Monday to its Pennsylvania Regional First Team. Wesneski made second-team.
