Twin Liquors to host exclusive S.A. Cocktail Conference auction
Drink enthusiasts who want to get their hands on a rare 25-year-old bottle of bourbon or help craft a signature cocktail named after the highest bidder should circle Dec. 6 on the calendar.
That’s when the San Antonio Cocktail Conference and Houston Street Charities will have it’s first-ever live auction at the Twin Liquors San Antonio Marketplace at 12955 San Pedro. The event is set to run from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and will feature just four big-ticket items.
1. Twin Liquors has donated an exclusive bottle of 25-year-old Pappy Van Winkle, one of only 1,000 bottles that were ever made that year. Cathy Siegel, executive director of Houston St. Charities, said the bottle could be worth as much as $10,000.
2. A painting by San Antonio artist Carol Baskin of Audrey Hepburn sipping Champagne
3. A block of 52 San Antonio restaurant gift certificates.
4. A signature cocktail named after the highest bidder and crafted with the help of The Bar at Bohanan’s manager Jordan Corney. The cocktail will be served at Bohanan’s for a year.
