Man dressed as U.S. mail carrier shoots man in Cleveland’s Glenville neighborhood

CLEVELAND, Ohio — A man dressed as a U.S. letter carrier shot a man in the city’s Glenville neighborhood, police said.

The shooting happened about 1 p.m. on East 118th Street, south of St. Clair Avenue, police said.

The shooter was wearing a real U.S. Postal Service uniform at the time of the shooting, police said.

Cleveland post office spokesman David Van Allen said postal inspectors went out to the scene of the shooting and are trying to determine if the shooter is an actual mail carrier or just wearing the uniform.

The man in the letter carrier uniform walked up to a 51-year-old man and shot him twice in the leg. The shooter jumped into a getaway car that sped away.

No arrests have been made in the case.
