Electoral College is affirmative action for small states
The Electoral College gives extra voting strength to small states, those with little population. For example, one Wyoming voter has about 3.6 times more presidential voting power than one Californian.
I guess one could say the Electoral College is affirmative action for small states. Republicans usually hate affirmative action but they love this kind.
Only in America does the winner of the popular vote not win the election; currently Hillary Clinton leads Donald Trump by more than 2 million votes. Imagine the cries of rigged election if the situation were reversed and this happened to Trump instead.
