Highway Patrol: 2 dead in Woodward County crash
WOODWARD, Okla. (AP) — Two people have died in a multi-vehicle auto crash in Woodward County.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the accident happened early Saturday on State Highway 15 as 67-year-old Woodward resident Phillip Oliver was driving his pickup on a county road.
The patrol said Oliver failed to stop at a stop sign, causing his pickup to strike a truck that was pulling a horse trailer, causing the trailer to separate from the truck.
The driver of the truck pulling the horse trailer was treated and released for his injuries at a local hospital. His passenger was pronounced dead on the way to the hospital from her injuries.
A third vehicle struck Oliver’s truck. Oliver was pronounced dead at the scene from his injuries.
