Funeral home helped in time of loss
This letter is to praise the wonderful funeral director Dan Jowdy, of Jowdy Kane Funeral Home on Granville Avenue, Danbury.
When my 97-year old mother passed away in October of 2018, my wife and I chose Dan’s funeral home because of his charitable efforts with National Council of Jewish Women. As soon as we arrived late on Friday afternoon, he took charge of all of the arrangements, including the synagogue service and interment in New Jersey.
It was a great relief to have these things taken care of at the time of our loss.
Dan was in constant contact with us before, during and after the funeral, attended the interment, and helped my family arrange the at-home shiva period, a Jewish custom.
Our community is blessed to have Dan and his caring and thoughtful business in its midst. A difficult situation was made much easier by his efforts.
