UML Returns to Ice to Face Harvard University
BURLINGTON, Vt. -- UMass Lowell will play Harvard for just the fourth time in hockey when the teams meet Friday at 4 p.m. in the opening round of the Catamount Cup at the University of Vermont.
UML holds a 2-1 series advantage.
The River Hawks (9-8) will return to the ice after a 20-day hiatus and the Harvard (4-5-1) clash will be only their fourth game in 40 days.
UMass Lowell enters having won five of its last seven games.
The River Hawks will attempt to contain Harvard’s leading scorer, Ryan Donato, a Boston Bruins draft pick with eight goals and 15 points this season.
UML is 23-10-1 in neutral site games under coach Norm Bazin.
On Saturday, also at 4 p.m., the River Hawks will face St. Lawrence.
UML holds a 13-8-1 series edge vs. the New York school.
