OLD SCHOOL: Louis C.K.’s new flick — the black-and-white, 35mm “I Love You, Daddy” — will debut at the Toronto International Film Festival, which runs from Sept. 7-17. The Newton-raised actor-comedian-writer shot in New York earlier this year, and the film’s about a successful TV producer/writer and his daughter, according to the Los Angeles Times. He got a sweet lineup of actors to work for him: Chloe Grace Moretz, Charlie Day, John Malkovich, Edie Falco and Pamela Adlon. “Daddy” marks the Newton North grad’s return to directing a feature for the first time in 16 years. You may remember his 2001 blaxploitation spoof, “Pootie Tang” — and if so, why?

DINNER AND A SHOW: What do WWE stars do after a lively Monday night “Raw” show? Apparently, when they’re in Boston, they trek north of the city to chow down on Chinese food. More than 20 wrestlers ventured to Kowloon Restaurant on Route 1 in Saugus after capping off a show at TD Garden.

The ravenous wrestlers included: Akira Tozawa, Alicia Fox, Apollo Crews, Braun Strowman, Dana Brooke, Dash Wilder, D’Von Dudley, Elias, Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows, Mickie James, Samoa Joe, Sasha Banks, The Miz, Titus O’Neil, Roman Reigns and R-Truth. The gang ate trays upon trays of sushi, pu-pu platters, Kowloon rice, crispy tangerine beef, salt and pepper shrimp and Saugus wings. Meanwhile, back in the Hub, fighter Brock Lesnar was spotted at Boston Chops with his manager, Paul Heyman. We hear he polished off a 32-ounce Wagyu ribeye all by himself like a beast.

DAMON WAS IN THE (OAR) HOUSE: Cambridge-born actor and — if frenzied fans at Fenway earlier this month showed — one of Boston’s faves, Matt Damon, was spotted up in Portsmouth, N.H. He and his family stopped for lunch at The Oar House. The restaurant posted a picture of Damon and one of its servers on its Facebook page, writing, “Celebrity sighting at the Oar House! Matt Damon was kind enough to snap pictures with most of our staff after enjoying lunch here with his family. A gracious and very generous guy! Nicole was the lucky one to wait on him! We were all fans before, even more so now.”

Aren’t we all?
