Pedestrian stuck by moving vehicle
HARLINGEN — Police are investigating an autopedestrian crash that left a Harlingen man injured.
On Thursday, January 3, at 8:33 p.m., Harlingen police officers responded to a call about a male pedestrian who was struck by a moving vehicle while crossing the street at the 1500 block of North Business 77.
According to police information, when officers arrived on scene, the adult male was lying on the street with visible non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the vehicle stopped and remained on scene.
Police did not release the name of the man or driver of the vehicle.
The Harlingen fire department and Harlingen emergency medical services arrived on scene to provide medical treatment for the male pedestrian.
He was transported to a local hospital.
No further information about the crash was available. The Harlingen police highway enforcement unit continues to investigate this crash.
This incident marked the second Harlingen auto-pedestrian crash in a span of two days.
