DUI suspected in crash that caused fuel spill on LA freeway
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Police say a suspected drunken driver was arrested after crashing his car into a tanker truck, causing a major fuel spill that closed a Los Angeles freeway for five hours.
The California Highway Patrol says the 26-year-old suspect could face charges including DUI following the crash early Saturday along State Route 101.
No injuries were reported.
Traffic was tied up after all westbound lanes were shut down as crews cleaned up the spilled diesel fuel in the Studio City area.
