New Milford police cracking down on speeding
NEW MILFORD — Town police said they’ll be cracking down on speeding after noticing an increase in driver’s speeding throughout town.
“We will be running more radar throughout town and taken enforcement action so please be mindful of the speed limit and your vehicle speed,” police said.
Various residents took to the comment section to add what areas of town they’ve seen speeding already taking effect. One residents called Wellsville Avenue a “drag strip” because of the speeds the vehicles race down it at.
Another resident said he was looking forward to seeing those enforcement teams — “we all want a safe town to move about it,” he said.
And ultimately, police said, that’s what the department is aiming for.
“Our goal is to make our roads and town safer,” police said.
