US ag secretary visits Wyoming during 4-state tour
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — U.S. Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue is visiting Wyoming on Wednesday and is scheduled to take part in a pair of discussions on workforce training and agriculture in Cheyenne.
The visit is part of a four-state tour Perdue is on to highlight Trump administration priorities on support for farmers and food stamps.
Perdue began the tour in New Mexico on Monday followed by stops in Colorado. He is scheduled to head to Nebraska after the Wyoming visit.
In Wyoming, Perdue was scheduled to participate in a roundtable discussion in Cheyenne with the Climb Wyoming workforce training program for women and then take part in another roundtable discussion with the Wyoming Stock Growers Association and other agriculture interests.
