Jacksonville’s Banks Hurt

October 18, 1998

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) _ Jacksonville running back Tavian Banks sustained a sprained right foot against the Buffalo Bills and did not come out for the second half.

Banks, who was not expected to return, rushed eight times for 30 yards. He had replaced injured Fred Taylor, who in turn was filling in for James Stewart.

Chis Howard, who replaced Banks, sustained a sprained left ankle and was expected to return. Howard signed as a free agent Sept. 23 when Stewart was placed on injured reserve.
