Lions’ Harry Colon Injured
PONTIAC, Mich. (AP) _ Detroit Lions defensive back Harry Colon had to be taken off the field on a stretcher Sunday after a head-to-head collision with the New York Giants’ Brandon Sanders.
X-rays of Colon taken at the Pontiac Silverdome were negative. Lions medical personnel said he had feeling in all his extremeties.
Colon was face down and motionless after colliding with Sanders during a Lions punt return late in the second quarter. He was attended on the field for about 10 minutes before he was placed on a board and wheeled off on a stretcher.
Colon is a seven-year veteran from Missouri.
