Raymondville considers building splash park
RAYMONDVILLE — Children might be cooling off in the city’s first splash park soon.
Earlier this week, city commissioners gave City Manager Eleazar Garcia the approval to research costs and vendors for the project.
Garcia said he plans to apply for a grant from Texas Parks and Wildlife Department to help fund the project.
In Tuesday’s meeting, commissioners agreed to build the splash park next to the city’s pool located at North Fifth Street and West Sauz Avenue.
Garcia also presented commissioners with information on the city of Buda’s $300,000, 1,400-square-foot splash park.
