TV’s coolest and creepiest Halloween treats
Lovers of ’80s horror — actually, all those who appreciate great TV — are breathlessly awaiting what may be Halloween’s biggest treat, the continuation of “Stranger Things.”
While in line at my neighborhood CVS, I overheard a group of Alamo Heights teens planning an Oct. 31 party centered on binge-watching season two of the Netflix thriller.

The Winona Ryder-starring drama, which channels horror maestros Stephen King, John Carpenter and Steven Spielberg — and which introduced us to the mysterious “Upside Down” dimension and strange little girl Eleven — starts streaming round two on Oct. 27.
As good as it is, “Things” is far from the only TV original, classic or special leading up to Halloween that’s capable of raising sizable goosebumps.
