City council approves stop sign removal
NORFOLK - The Norfolk City Council approved to remove a pair of stop signs at its meeting Monday.
Public Safety Director Shane Weidner told council members the stops signs are located on West Norfolk Avenue.
Weidner said several years ago the area was reconstructed and the stop sign at 31st and West Norfolk Avenue for southbound traffic was removed.
He said the stop sign for eastbound traffic has been reviewed by the Norfolk Police Division and the Norfolk Engineering Division, and determined it’s no longer necessary.
The council voted unanimously to approve the removal of both stop signs.
