#1. AL East: Boston Red Sox
Projected record: 90-72Projected run differential: +83The projections like the Red Sox to repeat as division champions, especially considering their addition of Chris Sale. David Price is likely to start the season on the disabled list, but Boston will still have a rotation featuring reigning Cy Young winner Rick Porcello and the above-average Eduardo Rodriguez and Drew Pomeranz. The Red Sox had the best hitting team in the league last year, and it returns nearly intact in 2017, headlined by MVP runner-up Mookie Betts. Losing David Ortiz will hurt, but Boston has plenty of firepower to remain one of the best offenses in baseball.
